INTRODUCTION

PRAYER

Holy Trinity is a community of prayer. We pray for each other and for the needs and blessings of all God’s beloved world. Prayer is at the very heart of our life in faith. We are encouraged in our scriptures to “pray without ceasing:”

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. [1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18]

And even though we may not how to pray or put in words the deep longings of our soul,

Paul reassures us that:

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness;

for we do not know how to pray as we ought,

but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.

And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit,

because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
